If you've ever signed up for a gym membership, only to cancel it without ever going, or made a New Year's resolution to start a workout routine, only to fail 2 weeks in, then you need Surephyre.
Surephyre helps keep your workout routine on track by removing willpower from the equation, forcing you to incur a penalty if you don't live up to the goals you set for yourself. Here's the flow.
Set your gym location
Set your workouts per week
Give us your credit card information, and set a penalty you will pay for missing a workout
Finally (and most importantly), go to the gym and check in with GPS to meet your workout goal and avoid paying a penalty!
Is my penalty per week or per workout?
Your penalty is per workout, so if you have a $25 penalty and miss 2 workouts, your penalty will be $50.
If I miss a workout is my penalty charged the same day?
No, for ease of billing your penalties (if you have any) are charged at the end of the week.
When does a week start and end?
For Surephyre, the week starts on Mondays at 12AM and ends on Sundays at 11:50pm.
What if I want to change my workout schedule?
You can make changes to your schedule at any time in the Surephyre settings menu, however your requested schedule change will not be applied until the start of the next week.
What if I want to go on vacation or take a break?
If you need to take an extended break for any reason we recommend setting your penalty to $0 so that no penalty will be charged for your missed workouts.
Why can't I set my schedule to 7 workouts per week?
Even though we don't prescribe what you do once you get to the gym, we don't believe it's healthy for anyone to workout every day. For that reason we designed the system to have at least one built in rest day.
